Perhaps this was a slightly stupid choice for a first ride&#8230;lots of walking up hills required.<\/p>\n<p>Starting from Garsdale Station I took the road over to Dent Station &#8211; and did not enjoy the steep descent into Cowgill. \u00a0The hills of the Lakes were visible from the top.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sloeburn.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/190622a.jpg\"><img in Dent\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then turned off up Deepdale, along a gated road. \u00a0Happier to be walking up than riding down the steep sections.<\/p>\n<p><a really enjoy the descent of Kingsdale to Ingleton as the road had been recently resurfaced and the surface still loose, as well as being narrow and twisting. \u00a0Had to walk down a small section.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sloeburn.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/190622g.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1668\" down to Settle. \u00a0I thought staying on the main road would be flatter than sticking to NCN68, but it was very lumpy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sloeburn.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/190622i.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1670\"
